About the whole pc culture hijacking Christmas I was a little late on. Christianity hijacked the roman holiday saturnalia, the celebration of the winter solstice. Back then it was basicly a drunken version of "the purge" with fights and looting frequent. Christian groups then started saying it was christs brithfay to quell the violence, it sort of did for a while.
I'm skipping over a lot of history now. When Settelers first well... settled on America they brung over the violent version of Christmas while a more peaceful version stayed in Europe. Christmas was then banned and when new Settelers came they brought the peaceful version
And that's my summery of Christmas after I tried to recal an "Adam ruins everything" episode I haven't seen in a few months. Merry Christmas my ol chinas
Kinda fun but also ruins the immersion of the game. Also it is just quite a short period so honestly would rather the devs spend their time on more important stuff than fluff like this.
If the arctic thing plays out right. They should have a random ass Christmas tree out in the middle of the snow. nothing important. no meaning, just to be cheeky.
Leviathans getting sleighs that you can sit in. Or the Baby's for the cure get teddy bears they swim with. Cuddlefish gets sunglasses for Halloween, to audition for CSI Miami.
