How do I listen to crew logs?

I’m probably missing something obvious, but I can’t figure out how to make the audio play for the optional crew logs you pick up in life pods.

Two ways.

Select the 2nd from right tab in the PDA and scroll through the voice log to find the log entry you want. Then click the play arrow to the right. This is easy for new entries, but tedious for older ones, as it's a "first in at the bottom" list.

Far better for older entries is selecting the far right tab in the PDA, expanding "Data Download" and "Aurora Survivors" (click anywhere in the box) subsets, finding the entry you want, and clicking the arrow (and only the arrow) contained to the left of the little green rectangular box at the top. Do the same for the "Degasi Survivor" logs and the rather funny "Relationship Contract Legal Recording" under "Public Documents".

I’m playing on Xbox, with a controller. I can’t “click” on anything. That’s the problem. I see the audio log, I see the play button in the entry. But I don’t know which button to push to make them play.

Yeah, I've never been able to figure out how to play the audio logs. I've pressed every button and none of them do anything. There's no way to select them either.
