<div class="IPBDescription">The Story of the SCS Dalishi Incident</div> <i>This is my first time writing something like this, so please don't flame me too much <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Also, it <b>isn't finished</b> so don't say it ends too quickly, I'm simply creating the story day by day as I sit bored in Java class <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--></i>
A dark figure moved silently through the hallways, avoiding detection again and again by the mysterious lifeforms that had inhabited the Ceverind Incorporated's SCS Dalishi. The figure moved towards a door marked POWER and stopped. He pressed the button beside the door, but, to his displeasure, nothing happened. Power was out on the door control system, as he had suspected. He pried the panel off the door contrl button, finding a mess of wires. A few snips and a few zaps later, the panel lit up and the door slid effortlessly open. He stepped inside, the door closing behind him. A small light flashed on his wrist, indicating that his commanders wished to speak with him. He pulled his microphone out and pressed the talk button.
"Raven to nest, over."
"Raven, this is Eagle. Are you in the power station, over."
"Affirmitive Eagle, power station secure. Awaiting orders, over."
"Power up the docking bays, we're sending in a squad of marines. They will have a command station with them, try to get power to it, then power up the security system. If it comes online, power up the rest of the ship and head to the docking bays to meet up with the marines. Those are your orders soldier, I expect them to be followed to the utmost. Over and out."
Raven secured his microphone back into his helmet and walked up to one of the consoles in the small room. He pressed a few buttons, nothing happened. Moving to another console, he tried the same thing, getting the same result. He looked, tryig to figure out hw to get this room online. A small keypad on the far wall of the room with SECURITY marked above it was the only thing he hadn't tried yet. He walked over to it and entered the security override code that SCI had given him. The keypad beeped, and seconds later the room lit up like a Christmas tree. He went back to the first console and pressed a few keys, this time getting results. The program that controlled the power had been set up as a touchpad in between two of the consoles. On this touchpad was a picture of the ship, lit up with either red or green, red standing for power being off in the area, and green for power being on. So far, the entire ship was red. He walked up to the touchpad and pressed onto the picture of the docking bays. The red light went out, followed seconds later by the green light coming on. He then pressed the bridge, where the controls for the security system were located. It lit up, then shut right back down. He pressed it again, this time it stayed on. A computerized female voice spoke over the intercom.
"Attention, Security system online. Power restored to sectors A and G. Thank you for flying with Ceverind!"
Raven proceeded to poke the power control touchpad until the entire ship was green. He smiled at his progress, walked over to the security touchpad, and shut down the room. He stepped over to the door, pressed the button beside it, and smiled once again as the door opened without him having to hack into its control panel. The security intercom went off again.
"Attention Security personel. Unknown lifeforms heading to power control station. Sensors do not indicate human presence among them. Thank you for flying Ceverind Incorporated!"

"Orkin Commander to Raven, come in Raven."
Jack Silvran tapped a few keys and the command console beeped twice, indicating he was connected via video link to his higher up on the cruiser Gladelic. A man came on the screen, nodding to Silvran.
"What is it Silvran?"
"Raven isn't responding to our hails sir, and I can't seem to lock on to his beacon."
"Where was he last?"
"Power control, sir. He was powering up the main parts of the ship when we lost contact with him. Requesting advice."
"Find him."
The screen went black. Silvran sighed and pressed a small orange button on his controls. The screen lit up with views from all of his marines helmet-cams. He slipped his microphone headset over his head and pressed the "Talk" button.
"Alright guys, check in."
"Mule, locked and loaded." boomed a heavily-accented voice. Tommy Mulaverti was the teams heavy-weapons man. His job was simple. Shoot everything that isn't human. He had already been on three combat missions against the Khaara, racking up an honorable tally of kills. He was equipped with the latest heavy machine gun from Sanvis-Ligul.
"Dell, locked and loaded." Grant Dellic was Orkin's point man. He was equipped with a simple light machine gun and a standard issue pistol. He also wore the team's jetpack, but it was currently a pile of scrap in the cruiser, having come face to face with an Onos. This was his second combat mission.
"Ollie, locked and loaded." Bryan Olword's started out as the team's civilian engineer. However, during a mission on the remote planet UCP-402, the marine assigned to protect him while he repaired the security system became skulk food. He grabbed the dead marine's light machine gun and killed the skulk, then continued to fight until he had cleared a way back to the command console. In honor of his courage, the TSA permitted him to enter their ranks as a combat engineer, thus making him fully licensed to carry a weapon. He's still equipped with a welder, but also carries a combat knife and a shotgun.
"Pyro, locked and loaded." Keith Lirene is the team's explosives expert. He is carrying an M-693 grenade launcher and a pack of mines.
"Alright, Eagle wants us to find Raven, whatever might be left of him. We don't know if he is alive or dead, so don't shoot at movement alone, identify targets before you fire. We're unsure how bad the Khaara presence is here, so be on your lookout. I'm sending you out in teams of two. Ollie and Dell, make your way to the security control room near the bridge. The security system on this ship has no controls or data ports in the ship itself, so I need you guys to tap me in directly. Mule and Pyro, you two head to the power control station and look for signs of Raven. I'm not tapped into the nano-controls of this ship either, so get me a connection there as well Ollie if you can. Move out!"
The four men stepped into an elevator and began their descent into hell..
Other than that, seems good.
I'll change them in a sec, gotta think of new names..
edit: btw, thanks for the help <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
