What the title said.
Thank you for this wonderful game. I just finished the story mode today and I'm already aching to go back into the depths. Which is weird, because prior to actually playing the game I had this MASSIVE fear of the ocean.
Been a fan of Unknown Worlds since the Natural Selection ages, and followed the development of Subnautica closely. Never expected to actually play the game because of my fear of all things underwater, so I settled for Youtube videos during development. However, when the full game was released I felt drawn to it for some reason or another. Bought it, installed it and spent almost ten minutes convincing myself to jump from the comforting roof of the lifepod. Yes, that first achievement was hard earned. An hour or so later I managed to dive deeper than 20 meters. The first time I was at a 100 meters' depth, I could hardly breathe from the terror. But the ocean pulled me in, and before I knew it I was speeding along in the Seamoth, highfiving stalkers and sand sharks and getting chomped to bits by reapers.
Now, reapers are the only scary thing in the game. Those and the void, because unlimited open water is still horrifying. The cave systems were comforting, even with the sea dragons and ghost leviathans.
So what are my intentions with this rant? Don't know, really. But I want to extend a hearty THANK YOU to the devs for maybe not curing my fear, but at the very least easing it considerably! And also for creating a game that has secured a place in my mind for as long as I live.
