Those first few days

I just returned to Subnautica after a 6 month hiatus. Started a new game.
In my first game from 6 months ago, I struggled a LOT. I took me forever to find the different blueprints. I really enjoyed the game, but there definitely was frustration too.
Did the locations and availability of blueprints get changed quite a bit? I am finding things so much easier right now. The time logged on my first game was around 24 hours. I was right in the middle of building my first big base. I am at 6 hours in my new game right now, and I could be building my base (although not at depth - no upgrades yet).
I am a little torn on which way I like better. I got more satisfaction out of really struggling for everything. On the other hand, my new run has been relaxing and a lot of fun. Which do y'all prefer?

Not going to tell you how to feel about that, of course, but personally I find it less frustrating. Nothing sucks more than knowing what you need and yet because of a detail like not finding one more fragment you're stalled, so the developers making some things easier to locate earlier in the game was a nice move. Now, there's still plenty of griefing to go around, mind, but at least some of it got a little softer.
