I've encountered this bug before, but with terrain instead.
I was driving in my seamoth, nothing special, right? I saw a weird floating grav-trap fragment, turned to investigate, then the wreck spawned in on top of me.
this is the bug The "fun" starts at 1:20.
A save and reload kicked my out of the wreck, but it still scared me that my save was wrecked. No pun intended.
As for my version, it's one that's latest as of 12/3/2018
edit: also a very well timed scream/roar(?) from a nearby stalker adds a bit of either comedy or horror.
