I know they're switching Subnautica to use Unity 2018, just not sure when that switch will hit Stable branch (I've switched to Stable, waiting to play more until that update hits, then I think I'm going to progress my save file + a brand new save to completion).
Sorry for bumping such an old thread. I am really wondering about this as well. I know it is released as a beta but is there an estimated time frame yet on when the Unity 2018 port will be officially released as a stable version??
I thought they already had. That it was one of the things they did in order to get it working properly on XBox.
They have? I have the Steam version (game not installed yet) but I thought it would take a while until it's officially released as a stable version for it.
Now that GDC is over, we're trying to figure out what we need to fix in order to ship the patch to stable. There are still some issues outstanding that need fixed first. No ETA, but certainly sooner than later.

I don't know since I don't have the game installed yet. I was waiting until the Steam version gets officially ported to Unity 2018 (not as a beta).
Perhaps anyone with a Steam version can check if this Unity 2018 release is official?

Any further news regarding this?
Thanks for the update!
From what I understand, this update would mainly fix performance issues for people with low-end PC's. Not sure about other fixes/improvements.
