I have a dell laptop with tow GUPs one intel HD and a nvidia gt 720m. The game only detects the intel gpu. I tried to force the game to use nvidia gpu with the nvidia control panel but no luck. And tried disabling the intel gpu but that didn't help.

I just got the game for free thru the EPIC GAMES LAUNCHER

Check if you have your laptop set to power saving mode? Search "choose a power plan" in the start menu. Not sure if that's it.

Also update both the Intel and nVidia graphics drivers, that might help.

Get the latest Intel driver, there might be an issue there with the switching mechanism (unsure). www.intel.com - Click "Support" at the top-left, and in the flyout panel that comes out from the left, click "Downloads & Drivers"

No there is no update it shows A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver & Support Assistant is not able to update the driver. Installing a generic Intel driver instead of the customized computer manufacturer driver may cause technical issues. Contact your computer manufacturer for the latest driver for your computer.

If it says there's a custom driver, you need to get the driver update from the website of your OEM. What brand (examples: Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, etc etc) is your laptop?

Can you set the control panel to always use NVidia?

Go to dell.com - in the top-middle, hover over "Support", go down & click "Drivers & Downloads", then click "Detect PC" or manually enter your Service Tag or EMC Product ID.

I have had the same issue with the black screen, blue cursor and music. Scoured the forums and this is what worked for me, give it a try.

    -go to your C: drive
-click users and select your username
(if you're unsure of your name open CMD/command prompt and type "whoami" without quotations and hit enter)

-click in the address bar and type \appdata after your username file path
    -click local low
    -click unknown worlds
    -click subnautica
    -click subnautica again
    -click saved games
-delete options folder (I copied and pasted it to my desktop then deleted it from the subfolder)

    File path-
    C:\Users\UserName\AppData\LocalLow\Unknown Worlds\Subnautica\Subnautica\SavedGames

Let me know if that worked

Ah, let me show you the magic of environment variables!
You can just copy-paste this into the address bar and it should go there for you:
    %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Unknown Worlds\Subnautica\Subnautica\SavedGames

Guess the only thing to do is wait for updates. I know they are upgrading to Unity 2018 version instead of 5.6.whatever, so when that update hits, maybe it will work then.
