Pathfinder Upgrade for the Snowfox

Instead of being able to jump or to boost the speed of the snowfox, I'd like to deploy temporary waymarkers. I find it really hard navigating through the glacial basin with all the different height levels, so this would help me way more than the other options.
And these markers should stay even if I hop on or off the snowfox (unless I pack it).
Alternatively, you might add hints like footprints in the snow or an IR goggle (infrared) to see my heat signatures, etc.
