Subnautica will not save game

Hello all,
While playing subnautica I realized I haven’t saved until 20 minutes and decided to save the game. Unfortunately the game kept showing the saving screen and if I wished to travel it would not let me as nothing would be rendered in. It’s still saving as I wish to not lose my data as I did a lot in that brief period. Anyone have any suggestions or fixes?
