Below Zero Optimizations

For the few hours I've been playing subnautica below zero (I haven't gone to far because new save) my gpu kept overheating and crashing. I lowered settings and power limits in msi afterburner. If anyone could tell me how to solve this I would be thankful. Though my gpu runs hot it ran the original subnautica flawlessly. So it could be something with the game itself perhaps.
