<div class="IPBDescription">GAHHHHHHHHHH</div> ok, the posts as of late have been horrible

I am not talking about grammer/spelling (b/c mine sucks also)

What Iam talking about is the amount of blatent hostility in the forums, it honestly wasn't this bad before the forums went down (it was bad but not like thins), and it was great before the game came out.

most of the posts that are currently coming up would have been NUKED! in the old forums (part of the reason why I liked it).

Now almost every post has atlease one flamer/whiner/idiot in it, and this tends to just end up dragging everyone else down with em.


look, is it realy all that hard to NOT FLAME someone b/c you don't like their idea?
When you bring out a flame you are just hurting your own argument by making your self look like a compleat tool, so again I ask WHY FLAME??

Honestly trying to filter through the mass of flames/whining is getting to be infuriating.


Look, what I am trying to ask is this:
1) Be Civil, it wont hjurt you to be civil and it will generaly get you question/comment/what not responded to in a civil matter

2) think before you post, I know that sounds bad but seriously, the number of posts that this could have helped
a) Think: Would I like it if some one said this to me?
b) Think: Am I realy adding anything to this?
c) Think: How can I help this person (thats the main point of these forums, to help each other)

3) look around, use the search feature, alot of these topics have been talked to death.

4) Just try to be nice (I have to put up with enugh ***obscenity*** going on in real life to want to deal with it here also)


oh well, this post will be responed to with some flames of "who the hell do you think you are", "STFU you looser", and some others I can't think of yet.

Then it will just get washed away by the deluge of moronic posts

unfortunatly not so true.

though it is true that there are a few ppl (I will not point fingers repeat 10X) that every single post of their is a flame or some other uselles slef toting post

there also just seems to be a drastic increase of the general flame lvl, and I am serious, when I said that in the old forums about 1/2 of these would have been NUKED (including some of the ones I have posted in frustration)

I admit what I am saying is not the simpelest thing to folow (I have a hard time doing it all to often)

personaly I am trying to rise above and NOT get draged into flame war yet I just can't seem to do it (urges to correct ppl blatently wrong and egocentric rising MUST SUPRESS!!!)

I reccomend you don't hesitate to use the "Report this post" button, if things are starting to get out of hand in a thread. It's worked for me, and the threads I've reported with it have been hastily locked. :)

temporary cure is all though

honestly what I would like to see is a development of the comunity, part of my gripe is that if a good post comes up, it is generaly gone with in the HR due to spam

oh, and BTW much of this was a rant (And I do want to see what happens when Rhoads get mad, so long as he aint mad at me)

(Just don't confuse "Report post" with "Reply to post..." <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->) Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot you can do to cause a community to magically become mature and peaceful but we're doing our best to squash blatant idiocy wherever it may lurk.

hehe, it was the mods like you that made the forums fun (It was satisfying to watch the flames get nuked)

btw, as for the report? do you guys get a PM type thing (ie a popup when ever you get a new one?)


and I will admit most of this is simply a rant, I just realy needed to do it before I blew up on some one and got my self nuked, lol


hehe, and I have figured out one way to keep llamas from posting in your thread, basicaly think of all the stupid arguments/flames that could be said and then say them in the first post, so that any one who even tihnks with 1/2 a brain cell will relize how big of a tool they will look like
