<div class="IPBDescription">Half-Life Thing</div> I have found a program that replaces your old hl.exe file(i think) with a new one that make the game run faster but the only problem is I think it only works with voodoo cards which I got this program with the drivers of them when I was looking for some better ones for Windows 98 SE. If anyone wants to try this program out feel free to see if it'll work with other cards than the voodoo. I am not responsible for what happens to your computer, video card, and monitor. Here's the program.

3Dfx had a minigl driver, which was a glide based opengl.dll with minimal functionality, that did run very fast on voodoo (and only voodoo) cards. That's most likely what this program does, is install the minigl dll into your HL folder. the problem with the minidriver is it had to be done for every individual game. you needed to put the driver in C:\quake, C:\quake2, C:\quake3\, C:\sin, C:\half-life, etc. damn i'm glad those days are over. :)
