Game Looks Great But I Can't Get It To Install!

Ok, I got the nod from a friend that this was a great strategy game so I went to the site liked what I saw, was told I needed the new patch got the 1.1.1.0 CS patch downloaded the Natural Selection from Planet half life and lo and behold as I was preparing myself for the luscious graphics the install failed. It just hangs....It even sez installation complete but it just hangs.. Can anyone help??
