Just ideas i'm having (no ss just yet)
since my map ns_frigid is set in a geotheremal powerplant i was thinking of having alcoves every say 512 units along my hallways that are like tiny 'panic rooms'or small four or five person (128x128 maybe)bunkers to retreat to during a meltdown. and since the plant is out of service in some of them the doors have gaping holes in them (say big enough for a bob ). and also they have four ventilation access grates in the walls and cieling (one per wall and one in the cieling) which pump in fresh air (and bobs )

so they are like tempory refuge from a lv5 that's charging down the hallway, but then there are four other entrances that have to be watched. garenteed to provide tense moments.

/suddenly thinks of adding a timer so the doors open after a little while. must map

Geothermal plants meltdown? I thought that they made use of heat under the surface of the earth, geysers and such, to generate electricity...

Great idea though, adds a bit of tension.

yeah they do but i'm kinda taking it a step further and saying that they're using magma and pumping it up to the surface and into these huge converter things. and there is plenty of potential for overheating or meltdowns

that sounds kinda kool, could be hell on w_polies though, depending on how you hint brush and design it. Make sure the doorways are relativelt thick.
