<div class="IPBDescription">What prevents it?</div>BTW, I just got here from a link from Penny Arcade, and I can't wait to play this thing. Looks great!
So what prevents a unit from just ignoring the commander's commands and blindly DMing all over the place?
Maybe you could award points or credits to players who obey the commander? And maybe give bonus points for speed in obeiance.

Commanders are in complete control of all resourceing and cosntruction (Well, in theory, a marine team could refuse to build a structure that the commander orders, but . . . nah)
A) It's not that big of a deal
B) If the commader thinks it is a problem, he won't give him anymore ammo
C) If it becomes a really big problem, he simply opts to not respawn him...
(I know, I know...) <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

Now I argue with myself, I guess it would be realistic though.
Right, glad you clarified that.
I worded my repsonse bad. And I was more or less joking around. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Sorry for the confusion... I'll be more careful next time :/
