Climbing ladders I think should be improved. Being a marine you r able to crouch up a ladder and fire from a ladder. This should not be, it would be better if the marines gun disappeared off screen like in DoD when climbing a ladder and unable to crouch as well. For the alien side they should not be able to climb ladders at all. When you watch an onos or a gorge climb ladders it just looks daft. This would not effect skulk as they can climb walls any way, lerks can just fly up and the Fade would just use blink.

It all says in the manual about it being sucide to climb a ladder when a lerk is about (read marines story on lerk). This may stop the aliens from reaching certain areas but there are already some areas some that some aliens cant reach any way.

Well its easy to climb and hold a gun, 1 hand on gun, 1 hand on ladder, maybe it should make you use 1 hand on gun, and lower your accuracy.

Edit - Ive seen people go on ladders so they cant be hit in sewer hive on caged, this would help people stop doing that.

Or how about, unable to MOVE on the ladder whilst firing?

And if you disallowed aliens climbing, you bring 2 issues...

A) Re-arranging maps to allow Onos to get around (Example, Powersilo Hive would SCREW an Onos)
B) Make blink reliable enough to regularily use, or Fade would be crippled.

Without ladder use, a gorge can't even get into sewer hive on NS_Caged, or they would be stuck in any of the three hives in NS_Caged as all of them have ladders to get out. I don't see aliens not being able to use ladders as an idea.
