You know you can hold down the stop button as soon as you start, and then just release it when the screen changes color. Should bring your reaction time down.

Dev Team Please remove the "hold down stop button" exploit it is unfair to Aliens, our claws tend to pierce the button and we get stuck. Then some marine welds us to death! Fix this or I am uninstalling this mod forever!!!!!!!!!!!

My fastest so far is 0.156 seconds. My average, using the 'mode' form of selecting (i.e. most common result) is 0.216 seconds. It's weird that I kept getting that same result. I wonder what's different when I get a better or worse score? This is chemistry we're talking about, after all.
Try changing the colour and seeing if that helps at all. It hasn't helped me yet, but who knows.
[edit] Re: the holding down Stop then letting go 'exploit', if you think about it, this will actually give a more accurate result since the time between you moving and the button being depressed is smaller. [/edit]
I don't maintain the page on which you've found the reflex test: I've given several people permission to use my reflex test on their sites. Therefore I'm not able to make modifications.
