I was thinking would a "momentary_door" with a "momentary_rot_button" work? It seems simpler and it has got a basic concept and the same structure when you get to its roots.

I like func_trains (when i have them working) for elevators becuase I can do other thigns with it, mind you I've not used it for at least 2 years and i can't remember how.
