Instant Lag - Just Add Marines

I have a p4 2.0ghz with 64 mb ddr gf4 agp, and 384 meg of ddr ram, and i have a problem. (lol this sounds like aa <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

But seriously, i do.

I have the problem that, when playing as an alien, the minute i see a marine or marine structure, my ping jumps into the thousands. Now i am VERY experienced with **obscenity** fps's, but my fps is idling at a steady 60 - so, what can i do,

The graphics setting is the one above 1024x800.

Plz dont tell me to get cable, and also note that i dont get this as marine.

I use 600 x 800 and it runs fine, try that out.

how do u run at 600 x 800?

I had problems before on my old comp like this. When i see a diff player my video lags and ping goes high. I just reformated and it was fine.
