<div class="IPBDescription">Need to check accuracy</div> How accurate would u guyz say this is:

Given the game is played with good teams on both sides, and the neither team rushes at the start(to prolong the game). At midgame and lategame, it is assumed that the aliens have secured 2 hives, and the marines 1 hive.

<b>Start-game</b>
Skulks Vs Basic Marines
Balance: Equal

<b>Mid-game</b>
Fades Vs Marines w lvl 2 upgrades
Balance: Tilts in favour of Aliens

<b>Late-game</b>
Fades vs Marines w HA/HMG
Balance: Equal

<b>End-game</b>
Onos vs Marines w HA/HMG *OR* Skulks vs Marines w HA/HMG
Balance: one side is screwed

    True, true...

BUT, fades should face marines with weapons and not just upgrades. Then it is equal.

You say the teams are skilled and equal. Slight tilt for the marines early game but not drastic.

With 2 hives mid game advantage defintly for aliens.

Late game, with still only 2 hives, huge advantage for marines. I dont know if i would even call it fair on 3 hives, but aliens with 2 hives vs ha/hmg/upgrades are screwed.

Sure you dont HAVE to fight them, you can weaken them and run away to heal. But they will just be welded to max again. Soon enough you will be FORCED to fight them and get raped, eg when they siege/attack a hive.

Three good HA/HMG/GL/Welder marines are almost invulnerable. Only a combo of good lerk-fade-gorge can take them out, and even they will have a really tough fight. Which is how it should be.

i'd say in the early game marines are better than skulks. I've easily killed 5 or 6 skulks as a marine with lmg. And if you can camp out a nice long corridor near or in their hive then you can probably get about 10 kills before you run out of ammo or get swarmed

I think it's a bit more simple than what you've got going - if the marines work as a team, the power shifts drastically in their favor. The aliens have to work as a team as well to counteract this. A group of marines will slaughter roaming skulks and fades (if the marines are upgraded, which they should be by the time fades come into play) without a problem.

On the other hand, if the marines don't work as a team, they don't stand a chance through any part of the game.

I think it mostly has to do with how good the commanders/gorges (usually de-facto commanders) are... if you've got a good commander, the advent of fades isn't usually that great of a threat. If you've got good gorges helping with the organization (they usually have more time to think, not being involved in combat as much), the same applies to the aliens.

I usually spring for armor upgrades as a commander... boost straight to level 2 on that, 3 if i can afford it, before i even start throwing stuff at the weapon upgrades. Why? A good shotgunner can take down a fade in light armor, and a group of LMGers who understand the "you're expendable, RUSH THE THING" approach to fade engagement can do so, as well.

HA a direct order to run away?

I always play as eith lerk of skulk, even when onos are avalible, why <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Beacuse skulks are fast, and lerks are ranged, that simple. But if I see a heavy its .......AHHHH......... <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> , then go to base right out side of marine spawn and then theres the onos evolution. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    If u understood something u are as stupid as me <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
