Log of PFC Rian Krenson
<u>March 7th</u>
I've just arrived at my new station. The command ship SuperAxe. It's rough here, my company commander, CPT Brinor, is tough. But hey, it sure beats Basic. The ship is nice, they say it's the flagship of the TSA fleet. I don't know about that, but it's a damn nice ship. We have a full Battalion on the ship. I met the Battalion commander, LTCOL Jameson at orientation, seems like a great guy, someone to follow. My Squad Leader, SSGT Pennock, says things are pretty dull around here. He says to relax, and enjoy the training sims, because that's the closest we'll get to busting up Khar's, god i hope not, i came here for some heat, not to sit on the ship. All for now.
<u>March 31</u>
Almost a month with the Frontiersmen now, time flies, i guess even when you're just sitting on your hands. It doesn't take long to get accustomed to the routine around here. It's the same old stuff everyday. Wake up, wash up, physical training, chow, build training, marksmanship, r & r, more chow, sleep. Everything is so scheduled and precise. It's hard to believe we're at war. I qualified expert with the LMG the other day, a perfect score. I'm one of only three to score a perfect on this ship. LTCOL Jameson seems to have taken a liking to me, which i think is making CPT Brinor even harder on me. I didn't think that was possible.
<u>April 9</u>
The colony of Tara Yulon was attacked by the Kharaa yesterday morning. Regiment wont tell us exactly what happened, but from what i hear it was a large group of Skulks. Unfortunately Tara Yulon is just out of our area, so i don't guess we'll be in on the counter attack. I think they're gonna send in Whiskey Company. Those guys can kill anything. I wish we were equipped like they are, Heavy Armor, Heavy Machine Guns, people call em the poster children of the TSA. If only they knew.
<u>April 12</u>
HOLY SH**! Whiskey Company is gone! I can't believe it! They made it to Tara Yulon expecting to clean house, but met heavy resistance. The SuperAxe was called in by regiment to support, but by the time we got into Tara Yulon air space it was too late. One of their guys made it out in one piece, and was picked up by our scout ship. He said they were cleaning up and thought they had the area contained when a group of a dozen or so Fades came into the area. Intelligence had not reported the presence of anything more than a couple dozen skulks, but thats TSA intel for you. We have been running scanner sweeps looking for survivors. But so far we've found none. The SuperAxe is sending Foxtrot Company, my company, in to look for survivors and to see if we can get Tara Yulon back. Looks like i'll see some heat after all. We deploy tommorrow. Time for pre-briefing. I hope we have better intel than Whiskey did.
