Fastfire Cheat?

<div class="IPBDescription">bleh</div> I saw a guy that was shooting 5 pistol shots in 2 seconds, and he seemed to kill full health skulks in 2 lmg shots.
I've also seen a skulk that was biting as if he had primal scream when the aliens only had 1 hive.

Does this cheat exist, or was I seeing things?

It would be a much harder cheat to code than many others.

As it would require you modifying what the server would accept, in which case, you could make much NASTIER cheats, so why would you make something as simple as RoF?

Pistol is fully semi automatic. You can fire that as quickly as you can press the mouse buton, which for the most of us is pretty darn fast.

As for the LMG, I have had a few death which were a little wierd - like my Lerk/Skulk would go from full health/armor to 0 instantly. I suppose it's possible they could be doing that, but I'm not sure how pressing the button faster would do this. LMG fires much faster if you just hold down the trigger. More likely it was just lag.

There is a limit to the pistol rof though, exactly to prevent this kind of scripts..

I had this happen to me before. Some guy was a skulk and he killed me in one second and I was wearing full upgraded HA and full HP. Then he became a lerk and that was nasty too. Heh, he kept laughing at all the kills he got.

I blame most of these "miracle kills" on lag, or good strategy. I don't believe that anyone would cheat to get ahead in this game. Call me an optimist

And then you people ask why flayra coded in that instant death thing for 1.0 that killed you when you did two things too fast...

Maybe someday you people will learn to drop the scripts and play the game like it was meant to be played, without any "Rapid fire" scripts or "Sniper pistol" crap. So many scripts out there, and only a few of them could be dubbed "legit"...

It is not only pistols that seem to have got really fast and accurate......lerks have too. I dont know if some kinda cheat or script is rolling around but it sure seems like it.

Any kind of rapid fire script would be ridiculously easy to do. Nearly as ridiculous as my spelling of ridiculous.

I know that once as a lerk, firing the spike shooter, when my energy got all the way to the bottom my shots started becoming erratic and would fire -faster-. One shot would make two hits and the TF I was taking down went down MUCH faster than usual.

Perhaps when low on energy, certain low-energy attacks register multiple times?
