Just got done with a marathon game as marine comm.
We started out with a comm (Admin), 2 newbs (they admitted as much and asked for help, so it's not name-calling) and p00k and myself.
First off, big congrats to the newbs for asking for help and actually paying attention to solutions offered. They both did a great job.
Anyway, Admin switched out of comm (said he'd been doing comm a lot lately and it DOES get old after a while). I sent admin and p00k off to secure a hive along with "Help Me" (I think that was his name) and had the other dude (Vash?) stay at base to def.
Now, I'm not the best comm (don't even have a mic) but I do OK and we really needed one. My marines followed orders most of the time, didn't complain too much, and blew stuff up pretty well when given weapons.
As the game went on, we got more players and they yelled for stuff for a few minutes, then suddenly they turned into good team players--moving together and being useful etc.
We had some very close calls and only through some vent and ledge siegeing were we finally able to win, but oooh what a game. (It's 5:00 AM here now, and I'm tired as can be now.)
Anyway, just a tribute to good marines (old thread disappeared?) and thanks to the poor aliens we sloooowly crushed. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Oh - and "Admin". Sorry I didn't give you more equipment. I meant to. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

i find it easy with less players but more boring-such big maps with so little people.
Just saying the harder it gets with more i rekon, because twice as many requests and people to led into battle.
