When creating a mp game...
...hl/ns/maps/custommapname.bsp exists and is playable after compiling but in NS I cant see it in map list.
Not sure really, but I sometimes get the same thing...the map bsp exists, it's in the correct folder, I can even load it from the console and run around in it, it just doesn't show on the map list..?
I'm assuming I've messed up somewhere along the line..maybe missed out an entity that NS needs to see in the map before it recognises it?
I have found that I needed to generate a minimap for it to appear on the map list. Start your map from the console, then issue the buildminimap command.
When I load NS, and want to create a game, NONE of the official NS maps show up in the map selection. Instead, it shows all the deathmatch levels from my Valve/Maps directory... Anyone else having this problem?
