<div class="IPBDescription">I need help!</div> Hey,
I have a windows box for gaming and a linux box i want to run a NS (Half-Life) server. However I heard i need half life installed on my linux box then i get the dedicated server (linux version) of NS. Where can i get the Linux Half Life and does it cost money? Please Help anyone who can help me get started from scratch. Thanks! -Mothership0x0x

you need to DL hlds_l for linux.

easily obtainable at fileplanet, filefront, or any of those places.

hlds_l_3110_full.tar.gz is the file name.

you might also wana get hlds_l_3110b_beta.tar.gz for when they add in VAC support.

it is a bin file, but you can DL in compress tgz files too

yeah, cuz if i remember right, the bin just makes you agree to some kinda license then it dumps a tgz to your hard drive

you are 100% correct, its mirrored everywhere as a .bin

once you ahev downloaded it, come back here and i will write a tut on how to install it =)

after i did that stupid agreement thing, i just deleted the bin, then kept the tar handy on my RAID. LOL makes installs alot faster.

sorry for the confusion, i haven't had to DL it in a long while.
