those are <b>GREAT</b> You should be given many many cookies (IRL, not those crappy web-forum fillers).
If those minigames would be easy to code into the HL engine, I'd encourage you to keep up the good work, but they'd be hard to put in, and would slow NS servers down even more than they are now.
heh David, very nice modeling. Good to see you around these boards now, hopefully Flayra will like the idea and maybe even implement it somewhere along one of the releases.
extremely impressive <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> someone do something with this guy's work and put it in the game please!

I kind of figured it would be a game play mode that you set when you run the server. That way it wouldnt hurt the server at all.
lol I keep having problems with the fade. After the model is decompiled and imported the skin is well, its inside out. In other words the fade is solid black and when you look "inside" it you see the correct skin.
It's really weird. I'll keep playing with it and see what happens. Anyone else try to decompile the fade and have the same problem?
Here's a stupid/great mini-game idea. Waypoint-Pacman! Navigate your unarmed marine through the maze to collect all the waypoints, all the while, avoiding up to four player-controled skulks. The power-points give you a supped up LMG and a clip of ammo, a Jet-pack, or other goodies to increase your odds of survival.

------ M.O.T.O.42 *wogga-wogga-wogga*<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> Funnier (and given that the marine starts unarmored, possibly more balanced) if instead of skulks you have gorges. Not to mention you may not even have to limit the gorge # to 4 if the map is good enough.
"La di da, going for next waypoint, this waypoint had better be directing me to a clip of pistol ammo this time--OMG 3 GORGES! *turns 180* Another one? They're everywhere!!!!"
Spice things up every so often by adding stuff every few seconds if the marine stays alive. E.G. after a set # of seconds, the "level" changes--the maze doesn't have to(or if the mapper is amazing, it can) but at least the lighting changes to reflect the new "level", and better powerups are available--to BOTH sides. Instead of pistol ammo, perhaps lmg ammo appears with this next level. But beware, every 4 levels, gorges get a new hive ability; levels where gorges don't get a new hive ability allow them to vote on the whole team upgrading an evolution type 1 by chamber's worth (sensory, movement, defense).
Players who want to get to rotate to eventually be put in marine position, of course.
