too cartoonish for meh <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Me too, but there've been about as many Mreq threads about Warhammer as there have been about StarCraft, so I figured I'd drop a nugget for the requesters.
un that is too much cartoonish <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> but it isn't related to Warhammer 40,000. i think i got the pictures that it might help u to reskin or remodel it. there is:
I hope it might help u! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Those skins aren't Warhammer skins? There's dozens of space marine chapters. And there are skins like both those pictures included if those are the ones you want. Just swap the skins out with HLMV like I said in the proper release thread, to which you can find a link in the initial post in -this- thread, which was made only to link you to the actual release thread I made on my clan's forums.
*EDIT* *groan* I just realized that the textures aren't sized within 16x16 pixels rules the HL engine demands. You won't be able to just swap them out. It'll say they're not the same size. Post your requests. Maybe somebody will do them for you, if they have a working Milkshape or something.
ermmmm it's not bad but it's not your best work wolf <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

They're better than the one posted here from an other HL mod. Not to mention you can have just about any skin you can think of on them, like the two above, which are like the figurines in the photo. These skins are included, along with many more.
Yes, they're cartoonish, but if you play Warhammer you use cartoonish miniatures.
good work.. I will praise u coz u spent time making these models. The least ppl can say is "thx"...so thx Rival Species models r sexeh actually..don't mean to put you down wolf but they look far better than your marines... I have them and trust me they r impressive....
jee, i know. why dont we subtly pay out on the guy for getting the ball rolling on what half of you wanted?! crikey, give the guy a break! i still wanna see the halo master chief dude re-done with better legs and stuff.
Reskinning as we speak. If I can, I'm going to fool around with the proportions a tad (smaller head, larger thigh segment and such). And they are indeed real marines, top left appears to be a Death Guard traitor legion marine (Plaguemarine) and the one on the right is quite obviously Legion of the Damned. Sure, they look more like the oldest of oldschool marine models (flying couch landspeeder! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->) but I'll do my best to make them look more up-to-date.
alright since i can't skin at all i take back my original comment..im sorry wolf <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
<!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> they work fine as Heavy marines, just renamed the file <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
The Good: I've been able to reproportion the marine to look a little more as it is supposed to. About 50% of the base skin is done (not the greatest skin, though)
The Bad: Due to the shoulderpads being fused to the torso as opposed the the shoulders, the arm clips through the shoulderpad most of the time on the left. D'oh.
A little work in progress shot: <img src='http://www.labyrinth.net.au/~jspiller/WIP40k.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'> (the jpeg is uber fuzzy, the proper skin is much, much sharper.)
TBH, its a good try, but if u realy want to make a good Marine and Terminator skin just check out the WH40K mods for HL, they look ace. But it may take alot of time to make these models, but i wud be def plsed to see a terminator walking (slowly) with a minigun or heavy bolter shooting the **** out of the skulks <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
seeing i am a WH40k fan, wud be kool if sum one wud get it dun <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I may be mistaken but when you get warhammer they tend to be gray plastic and then you paint them as you wish, thus they may look like anything(the 2 I got are that way anyways)
Yeah. All Warhammer models are DIY as far as paint jobs go. That's part of the fun <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Hurrah, the 10th of the first founding Chapters, the Iron Hands, are complete.
Unfortunately, due to the skin warping like all hell onthe shoulderpads, it's night on impossible to make any good looking chapter badges, which really does suck. Hmmm. More of the first founding Chapters on the way....that's if anyone is even interested <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Nice work, Hyakki [got it right, this time]. See, that's what I was hoping somebody would do. Not just criticise someone else's work [I didn't make any of the skins or the models, damn it], but do something about it. Very nice [not that I'm a WH40k fan].
No probs, Wolf. Even though I'll probably never used these models ingame (I'm a bit of a model puritan, heh) I figured seeing as I already had a half-done SM skin I might as well put it to some use. On the model front, I've rejigged the shoulderpads a little more (I had them turned back a little for some reason before, that's fixed) and a little more proportion-related stuff has been altered.
Any 40k-wise folks out there wish to request a Chapter to be done next? I'm more than open for suggestions <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
Oh, and as far as other WH40k mods skins go, Rival Species definately has some nice skins, but they really aren't much to my taste. I've never been too fond of the shiney look to them (as if they just make fresh power armour before every confrontation, heh) so I tried to make mine look more battle-worn. Besides, I'm sure Bahl and his team have had a fair amount more experience than I have (this would qualify as my second scratch skin). And a terminator model would be very swanky, along with an assault cannon replacement for the HMG..
Heya, i LOVE warhammer 40k and the skins look really good so far, the only thing is the head is a lil to high, there heads are usually mushed into there body, but anyways thanks for the great work and i know im gonna use it, hell I already use the ones that Wolf added and customized my own skins, from the packet he added. Anyways as for chapters.. how about all of them?? haha thanks (=
Blah im sorry also do u think its possible to add the warhammer weapons? like the bolter and such? and also make the hands for him so i can see them while shooting? thanks!

Hmmm. I'm pretty much about 98% done with the basic Ultramarine skin and model rejigg. Took me about a day to take the model from..
<img src='http://www.labyrinth.net.au/~jspiller/marinethen.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
to..

(darn fugly .jpg quality)
The colour scheme would be a bit garish for most, but I can easily use it to work off for the other Chapters.
