On Going Marine Failure

You will have to pardon some of the anger you may see in my writing I have something to say about the lamers that we play with. So here are some rules that should be followed all the time, everytime, no questions asked.
The comm is your GOD:
1 - You can't tell god what to do and even when you complain he doesn't give a **** anyway.
2 - all of your personal wants and desires are meaningless (no matter how good u think u are) its all about the big picture, so if your welder, med pack, ammo, shotty requests are not being met its because the comm needs those valuable res for something far more important.
3 - and most importantly if you think your that much better then hop up in that comm chair when the game first starts and show us what your made of, instead of running around and asking who is going to comm because u think your CS skills will help us win the game.
Team Work:
This great game is designed for one thing and one thing only TEAM WORK. Nothing else will do and nothing else is acceptable. If your told to do it, shut your trap like a good soldier would and do it, dont grab a cup of coffee and a donut and have a debate over what the comm has asked to get done. This isn't congress and we're not here to vote on right or wrong, even if the comm is a newb, to advise while your running around is cool but lets keep it zipped for the most part. If 5 guys are selected to go to a way point then 5 guys should be hustling to that way point no questions asked.
A Friendly Tip:
Attacking RC's, OC's or DC's early in the game is a HUGE mistake, so unless your comm instructs you to do so, please dont show us your masterful knife wielding skills because incase you didn't know this every alien is alerted to a structure and what kind of structure is being attacked and when its early in the game you've just given the aliens your exact location. The element of surprise has gone out the window and any res spent trying to move or relocate or siege is now lost along with the group of marines sent out. F4 at this point it will save u the agony of eating acid rocket after acid rocket after acid rocket.
The moral please listen to the comm, please dont ask for **** like its Christmas, please stay off the mic as much as possible unless its something real urgent and keep that knife tucked away for a rainy day to slit your own wrists when acid rockets are raining down on you and your comrades and u are walking around with a pee-shooter and a leather coat because nobody listened in the beginning and all was lost in the first 5 min of play.
Games are ment to be won and lost and I sure as hell dont mind losing but lets lose as a team who tried hard and worked together. Not lose because of a bunch of brainless mercenaries who care more about their own personal gain and not about the team as a whole.
Thank u,
I love u all.

I don't ever ask for weapons (unless com is specifically handing them out, and then I pick shotgun over HMG because I prefer it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> ) or armor because I KNOW everybody else will ask for them and I should be the conscientous one covering their butts.
My top is welder, bacuse its so damn usefull. Seriously, these things shouldn't even be needed to ask for. Sure they cost RP, and I understand that, but they save a lot too.
Welding Marines (especially HA) to keep them from dying, saves the comm the price of a welder maybe ten times (depends how long I survive), structures (Turrents (<---- spelled wrong intentionally for all ya nitt-picking meanys!!!)) are worth welding too.
GL. One GL can save the comm the price of a whole siegeoutpost. They really do make walls of lame go 'poof'!
I don't need all the other stuff, besides ammo or health once in a while. When the comm gives out stuff I thank him.
ALWAYS THANK THE COMM! PRAISE THE COMM! HAIL THE COMM! SACRIFICE FOR THE COMM!
The point was, just do what your told and once the game is set into motion and things are under control (usually controlling 2 hives which is essential) then we can worry about other things.
The way this game is so far Fades vs Marines with no armor or HMG's is just to damn rediculous. And to get that far up the tech tree u need to secure to many RC and then turtle yourself in to get it, but by then if your not pressing the aliens who will already have 2 hives and pressing for the 3rd if the marines are smart enough to alteast get one then you will most likely be doing what I like to call the ALAMO, just defending and defending until death comes knocking at your door.

HRM, have to disagree there, I guess the lives (<--- note: LIVES, not the rambo guys life) are worth something occupying a hive spot.
What good is a hive spot if nobody stays around long enough to build up a defendable position.
Yeah, u're right. Marine lives aren't worth squat! But things can go pretty fast aftert the 5 mins u mentioned.
If 1 marine sucks - you can still win.
If 1 commander sucks - kiss the game goodbye.
Hence, the commander IS more important than any other team-member. [good commanders work with marines who provide advice to them - but the commander has the decision like it or not.]
On the equipment front:
"We need a turret on the rear of that tfac in waste" <- nice idea.
"We need a welder" <- this is good. Tactical recommendation
"We need a GL" <- this is good. Same reason.
"I need an HMG and a jetpack" <- it's a very cheesy expression, but "there is no I in team"
[the long version is: "I am fighting skulks, but I want a better weapon since I am crosseyed and cannot hit a barn door at 5 paces. I will use this weapon to kill some skulks in some obscure area of the map that has no strategic value whatsoever to make myself feel 'l33t'. I will eventually die, gaining practically nothing in return for all that res you spent on the equipment."]
"I need an HMG and a jetpack to kill that hive" <- that's more reasonable. You have an idea - this gives the commander an option. It might be risky, it might not work - but you've got a plan at least.
