    I hate gamespy because they refuse to let me downlaod without a "LOOK AT ALL OF MY STUFF ON MY COMPUTER" spyware to be installed on my comp, especially since most HL mods and maps are easily found on their website <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I am a webmaster on a Gamespy hosted site and I get quite some complaints about FilePlanet (mostly about the unclear and cluttered webpages, the queue system, it requiring you to register after a number of downloads.) Not that I care much about complaints... but I find those things annoying too. Their servers run Windows NT (meaning, no MySQL and very poor PHP, Perl & CGI support), and they have seperate servers for scripts and html, and of course the crummy FilePlanet uploader. Only the FilePlanet server is fast, the others are slow as hell. And the banner code you must include on your html-pages changes quite often, and no chance in hell I'm going through all the old sections of my site to change it. Their hosting faq is adequate I guess, but it's not to rich on the details concerning the more technical parts about getting scripts to work. And on top of that some while ago there were (flash-)popups all over the place, but luckily those are now gone.

    I won't even start about GameSpy Arcade... <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I dont think they should even have included CS in the vote, since 100,000,000 plays it or so(more than play any other game+its mods I believe.), and those that play it will of course vote for it(unless they play it and multiple other mods, which is rather rare.), making 100,000,000 votes for it... kinda unfair advantage. Course, big part of the masses playing CS don't go to GSpy and even less find that poll.
    Still, CS is in the lead, DoD next, NS third, and Tactical Ops for UT after that. The rest is ignorable.
    EDIT: DoD is now in the lead...! NS still third, would need ~900 votes to get it up above the others, and thats not very likely Im afraid...

    Y'know, it is possible to vote twice. In any browser that allows cookie managing, just delete the cookie that prevents you from voting twice in the same day. In this case, the cookie is from www.fileplanet.com, and is named poll5923. Delete that, and you can vote all you want.

    You know, this POLL is not very fair being that NS just came out, and the others have been out quite a lot longer. Not everyone has NS, or even know what it is.

    I bet, if all the mods came out at the same time, and everyone had a chance to play them and consider which is best, I would say, Natural Selection would win hands down.

    Look at the polls, NS has only been out publicly for a few months and already has 1/2 the votes DOD and CS has.

    Hands down, NS is the best mod for 2002.

    Unfair poll.

    I voted for DOD. This isn't because NS is inferior (quite the contrary), but I've watched the DOD team from the beginning and, like it or not, they have the most polished mod experience out there. I mean, hell, it FEELS like WWII, and it is very non-glitchy.

    NS is brand new and still has growing pains, such as Linux issues. I think it's only a matter of time before it is better than DOD, but it simply loses out to DOD for the time being due to the fact that it hasn't truly been broken in yet. I mean, it's not even 1.1 yet, people. Not trying to step on any toes. I love this mod.

    As for CS, I cough up its votes to fanboyism.
