<div class="IPBDescription">I'm making a game!</div> For those of you not familiar with RPG maker 2000 it is a program thatlets you easily create your own console style RPG.

Well, I am currently trying to make one but I need your help. See I know how to use the program well but im low on ideas for my RPG. The game will be free(duh, of course) for everybody here when Im done with it. Anyways, heres what I have so far.....

You are Paul, a young poor boy, seeking fame a fortune. Starting off you have to pay rent to your landlord because your 3 months late....

thats all I have for now. I have edited the character and he gets fire type spells as he goes up in levels. So far I've used most stock tilesets/charsets/facesets. I have set up monster battles yet. I just started this the other day.

    I made one of those a while back... lost it somewhere in the deep chasms of my hard drive. Or when it was formatted. Either way. You know you can make your own graphics for that dont you? the possibilities are endless!

    How time consuming is something like that? I think it would be really cool, i could make a suburban RPG following a kid's life from 8th to 14th grade or something like that, and you could start out picking a male or female.     it is a full price product that was japenese but was translated to english (by a fan) and distributed a long while ago..... very hard to find on the net nowadays because the company that made it got really mad it was being warezed.

    The company is however re translating it and are going to translate their new RPG maker 2k3 and market them here very soon. Expect the community for these games to grow considerably when it does.

    Maybe you should begin by developing a story board, or at least sketch the outlines of the RPG that you are making.

    Plot stuff:

    well you gotta pay rent, maybe rip off BG a bit and have a few quests around your village to do, earning enough to pay the rent and get back into your house, where you find a letter or something that pushes youout on a mini-quest..which leads into the bigger story

    I use to have that program but I had no idea how to use it and so I just deleted. The graphics are reminscent of Final Final II and Final Fantasy III.
