Crosshairs

Filth
As most of you are aware, this exploit has been carried over from regular half-life and so far, has yet to be fixed in Natural Selection. I'd like to know when exactly this blatent cheating is going to be dealt with.
The exploitation of the aiming-sight fixed in the center of your screen simply has to stop, its just not realistic to have a crosshair fixed in the middle of your vision. Do i see a translucent shape hanging between my eyes when i walk around spaceships firing sub-machine guns at aliens in real life? NO!
Not only is it a blatent exploit, extremely unrealistic and detrimental to the atmosphere of the game, its also UNBALANCED. It makes it far too easy for marines to aim and fire at skulks - the same skulks that have to try and bite the marines without the aid of a crosshair at all! This game is supposed to be about TEAMPLAY, a single marine shouldn't just be able to aim at a skulk in a coridoor and kill it. Crosshairs promote rambos who can just run around the map aiming and firing at skulks, who are severely dissadvantaged because all the marines have to do is place the crosshair over the skulk and fire, its practically an aimbot.
Give me 1 good reason why marines need a crosshair. No tactical advantage comes from it, it certainly doesn't promote strategy, aiming should be done by looking down the barrel of your gun. If you want to aim, you should have to press a key that makes you stand still in a focussed position and raise the gun barrel up to your eye. The people defending this stupid looking, floating exploit are simply try to justify their ridiculous cheating, which makes it much easier to aim than its supposed to be. Disgusting.

this isn't about realism

I suggest we set up a movement called "Force Advocating Removal of Crosshairs Exploit" or F.A.R.C.E for short.
If this is the case, what's the problem?
It is science fiction and the cross hair could easily be superimposed on the Marines retina through the complex (yet fashionable) eye pieces we see the marines wearing.
Now Fades with sights ... Pfff ...
This post is a parody of people like silver fox incase you didnt realise, which most people havent.
Its a joke...

Good one TeoH!
And what about a monthly pay-off for the marines? I mean, come on, what about realism?

Damn right!
Don't listen to the tards pheonix, they're just not reading our posts and they're all wrong. You people are against the removal of a cheat because the only way you can win anything is to exploit flaws in the game. What will happen when 1.1 comes out and your little exploit has been fixed? Oh, no. All that time spent on learning how to use the flaws to your advantage was wasted! You'll have to play the game how it was meant to be!

SACRILEGE!
The shameless exploit of having a crosshair to help with aiming must be stopped!

You don't? Hmmmm, this could be a serious medical problem I have here.....
I just dont understand the logic parasite crosshair allthought its REALLY important.
Why don't we send in some droids?
No crosshairs, just some droids who kill-on-sight,
That is all.

1. There are no places in any of the maps in NS that would allow the marine to pause and assume the ironsight vision position; it would take too long and the skulks would be at his ankles in a matter of seconds. Very frustraiting
2. Skulks can close in on their desired prey in short, claustrophobic spaces in a matter of seconds, bitting only twice to kill them. Killing them without the aid of an onscreen crosshair would prove extremely trecherous.
3. I have tried to kill a skulk without the aid of a crosshair and found it impossible (after 10 tries!). With the aid of a crosshair however, it was a simple matter of putting the creature's ugly, slimy, dog-like face between my little yellow reticle and pulling the trigger.
4. You're an idiot for suggesting this and should be beaten with a soggy trout. I would do it but I disdain fish.
Thankyou to all the retards who took this thread seriously, you have completely destroyed my faith in humanity.
Only a half-life mod could pack so much raw idiocy into 1 thread. Now if all of you who have desperately tried to 'prove me wrong' could please direct your cluelessness to the following thread, we might just raise the average IQ of the forum by a couple of notches
