But hey I wanna map too! [screens ahead]
First shots of my project, ns_chariot, which I really hope to finalize some day. Many textures are placeholders (the door ones most noticeably), but I try to make and use my own as much as possible. Basically, these are some teaser shots, that I'm posting mainly for some help. Should I keep the columns in hallways? Should I just redo the whole damned hallways? Ack, I'm not even sure if an Onos is gonna fit in my doorways! I'm such a nubble...
First shot - Room after marine start, the reception of some sorts. Notice my patented Slidoors™ Custom grey-ish floor texture, and of course Slidoor™ texture.

Second shot - Marine start, the docking. Still many changes to do here, as usual. All borrowed textures, for now.

Third shot - Locker room. Where the crew changes, you know.. Walls and both floor textures by me.

Fifth shot - Ooo, a hive. This is my patented (whoa, I'm patenting lotsa stuff here ) Space Room, where... scientists do stuff.. Yeah. Complete with a barely-visible-due-to-resizing starfield. Gotta admit I like running around in this area It's not finished either, of course.

There. Laugh all you want, as long as you give lots of constructive criticism once you're dead of laughter
Not like I knew about the hive thing But I'll brighten up the images when I have the time, which should be in.. ohh, a few minutes.
So, let me give you a bit of background on the map. I was pretty much in a hurry earlier =)
The Chariot of Fire. One of the greatest assets of the Trans-System Authority. It is a prototype space ship based on an experimental propulsion method that requires no fuel, equipped with a one-of-a-kind machine, a weapon built for galactic warfare against everything that poses a threat to humanity, a weapon named Mars' Lance. The Chariot of Fire was on its way to LV3900 for a battery of weapon tests with its fleet of escort ships, when they passed through what seemed to be a volatile biological mass, a bacteria of some sorts, around the Omega Triad solar system. It seemed like no threat to the specially designed hulks of the massive piles of alloy, which was a fact, but it had contaminated a nearby ship in distress which had to be docked on the Chariot. Unsuspicious of the threat, the trek continued, as the bacterium started making its way through the ship, evolving slowly into a living nightmare...
Well, that's all I could imagine right now. The Space Room was a project the ship scientists were researching for future marines who were to fight in low-gravity scenarios. Unfortunately, it wasn't completed by the time the infection happened, and they had only finished the less-than-necessary 3D projection and anti-gravity stairway.
