<div class="IPBDescription">1 (one)</div>Hey!
Here is a shot of what I've been up to most recently in my level ns_nothing:

Veering away from the hi-tech stuff I was doing last time, this is the west sector of the level. I'm hoping to get a blend of hardcore industrial in with some nice techy stuff. We'll see what happens.
Thanks to the guys who helped me liven this place up in IRC, but it could still probably use some work. Any suggestions?
Oh, and if you hadn't noticed, my main source of inspiration for this level is really starting to show here... cough. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
-Edit- On a similar note, <a href="http://tald.readyroom.org" target="_blank">TALD</a> has been updated with a new logo and a rather lengthy update. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

i tried not to be distracted by the lightning, but there is nothing really i can kritize about. this is perfect. NS will have to wait the release until this map is finished.
but -seriously- could you release a demo? or do you want to wait with the release of your map and release it in one. I just want to see that ingame.. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> its so beautifull

just one question, are you running -extra with RAD? because there is a large stepping effect on your streaks.
But overall, I think you've really got awesome architecture in there!
There is, in fact, orange accents coming up from the right hand side, and the screen does give off quite a bit of glow. :/
It should look quite a bit better in a dark lit room.
About the chop on the pipes... that's mostly due to their shape and the angle of the beam. Pretty much as good as I can get it. I do use -extra as well as a lower chop and texture chop value.
Spacesuits: I like that idea, but unless someone drops a creepy texture off at my door, I probably won't have the time to go looking for one.
Stairs: Hehe... Someone else said that too. Seeing it ingame isn't that big of a deal, I think. I guess I could mess around with em though. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Demos: Well... I'll think about it. I've done something similar before, so *shrugs*... maybe. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

If they werent in then the map would be too repetetive which would spoil the great lightning (ie its all the same).
i do not like the idea of having spacesuits in, especially not alien, i like it the way it is now...
I'm even more excited about the idea of mappers giving out demos of their maps for the purpose of early feedback. It's hard to let people see your work when you know it has problems, but trust me, it's a good thing. The feedback will probably be invaluable. That doesn't mean it has to be public, but you should at least give it out to a handful of people. It's interesting that you generally only need about three people to get meaningful feedback, anything more then that is redundant (discovered in UI research).
I say go for it.
If that's the case, and people don't want to give out BSPs, I'd be more than happy with a video clip. Even a HyperCammed one.

The lightning is always the same but...IT'S WONDERFUL!
It would be beauty a little more of contrast in colored lights.
Btw i hear the spectators round here shouting: "Go! Go! Go! Ken!" <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
