without testing i wouldnt know but im assuming there no higher than 60 units, because the player is 72 units tall ingame.

All buildings use the "crouched marine" hitbox. The visual dimensions vary, however.

I can tell you that a marine resource nodes takes up about 132x132 - Make your area a little large so marines have the ability to build on all sides.

Alien resoure nodes are smaller - but you need to make them all the size of marine nodes since the marines nodes are the largest.

if you use a 256x256x256 box/zone for a res, you should be covered. it you want to make it smaller, add func_wall or illusioanry detail to the area to "cramp it up" and make it look better.
