Need Help Installing To A Different Drive

MadRavenMadRaven Join Date: 2003-01-16 Member: 12335Members
<div class="IPBDescription">and other concerns...</div> My half-life is installed on my g: drive and the NS install only looks to my c: and is asking for more space.

How can I direct the install to the correct drive?

I am mainly going to be playing this at my work behind a firewall
and I noticed that the game needs to be online.

Can me and my co-workers create and play without the online?

Thanks in advance,

I think you would probably have to do a bit of registry spelunking. I take no responsibility if you mess up, but you may try checking if this 'key' is correct:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Valve\Half-Life

For me the value of the key is "c:\SIERRA\Half-Life", perhaps you might want to check that your key is correct?

    Ditto for this one:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Half-Life

I hope that helps... if you don't know how to edit the registry, there are some guides out there--I don't really feel like typing it all out right now.

    thanks for the reply.

I look into the problem and realize that blue shift was on my c:
so the Sierra folder was in both my c: and g:

I corrected the problem and it runs fine.

    Thanks again
