Getting Stuck On Func_train

<div class="IPBDescription">Elevators...</div> On andromeda people are still getting stuck on the elevators, which are made out of func_train brushes of varying thickness. They only seem to get stuck while the elevator is stopped. Any ideas why?

It doesnt happen all the time, only sometimes, and mostly on the edges of the elevator.

    have a similar problem, but with func_door elevators. weird.

    IT could go from anything from lag, to coding errors, to FGD errors to within the map errors, as the official maps have elvators I believe it may be a mapping error.

    Well there may be something else I'm not aware of, such as NS code problems relating to the movement of entities such as func_train, general elevator bugs in the HL engine, or even something else. Im trying to find out.

    How do you guys build your elevators, all I do is place a brush or set of brushes and turn it into a func_train and put down path_corner entities for its movement.

    requiem, go to valve-erc.com download the template and tweak it so u brake the button brush away. its cheating i know but its a safe way of making an elevator

    There is no button. Its an automatic elevator.

    getting stuck on lifts in hl is a bug as old as time, the map runs ok for some people, and others simply "stick" there is only 2 soloutions.

    1: valve fixes this occurance with a patch (likelyhood::extremely unprobable).
    2: crouch jump until the lift stops.

    I have this occationally and it is a valve/hl thing in the engine, pretty old bug. Just whent he elevator is about to stop simply jump and yuo will not be stuck. Like you did as a kid when the elevator stopped to feel the g forces pulling you up tot he ceiling or making you fell squished when jumping up when the elevator went up. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
