    People would hack it, from a client perspective, I'm sure someone can find a way to hook it in an undesirable way.

    Either way, it's not an item I think is very useful.

    Maybe if you forced the marines to have more technology to use it, and limited the number of each item they can have per phase gate?

    I'd say the following are reasonable ideas:

    1) They have to have motion tracking.
    2) They have to have a phase gate. (that's kinda obvious, but still, for the sake of completeness).
    3) Make them have an upgraded armory, just to make it so they aren't spamming health right off, too many comm depend on health spamming even with the 5 second limits.
    4) Limit the number, and give it a timer. ie. 2 Minute deletion counter for ammo and health, 10 units per phase gate, and keep adjusting these numbers till you find something that works, or leave it open to admins to set these, since it's their server anyway.

    i for one am happy to see this modification to the health ammo. as for those that dont like it? stay off the servers using it... those that dont like it are probably the ones that only play alien because they dont want to loose. i feel it added a great evening effect on my server. I also added modified to my servers name so people that dont like the additions can turn away. no skin off my nose.

    thanx go to the guys for making these toys for us that cant wait for the updates to fix the issues.

    One thing that concerns me is that a commander could load up the phase gate and go on an assault with the rest of his team. There would be no reason for the comm to be in the chair in order to support an assault. Could a switchable cvar be added so that a person would have to be in the comm chair in order for the request to work? I think this would help further balance this plugin.

    the reason i started this plugin was for out-of-chair resupply in 1on1 or 2on2 games.


    and if you think about it, what kind of dumb commander would go out on a siege with his troops ? What do they do when they get to wherever they're going ? just sit and there and think "we killed those aliens good, now we're stuck in satcom being surrounded by offense chambers"

    That's why I said switchable cvar, so it can be turned on or off. Maybe you can even make it so that if there is less then say 4 players then it automatically turns off.

    Sounds like a great plug in i would like to see this acually implimented into the official game as some thing researchable but with restrictions to how often the person can use it, how much it can hold.

    This would please those people who were requesting the second command chair

    hahahahahah! you make me laugh, marines tend to win more of the time than aliens, it's not that I'm afraid to lose, and I play both sides equally, and I command quite a bit too, most of the time I autoassign, because I don't care what team I'm on, you shouldn't just assume things buddy, it's a bad idea, it changes the mechanics of the game distinctly.... <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo-->

    assume?? whos assuming? i run a server and know the info on my server. i dont play yours so i dont care how you handle your mess.
    on my server rines barely ever win. now with the addons they are about even. sooo i suggest you not asume that you know what the rine vs alien ratio is on MY server until you hop on and play.

    soo again rines loose most the time on MY server.(not Grimm Spector's server)

    sorry if i seem rude but.. your server and my server are not the same server therefore things are different between them. what is on mine may not be on your. so... it is not assuming when it is true on my server. i never said ALL servers are like that.

    Please set something so that I can get ASE to screen out these servers... I don't want to deal with marines who can call down a comparatively massive +50 health at any damn instant they want.

    hmm i got a problem, it won't work on 1.04, i loads the plugin but i put meds on it it works, but when marines ask for a medpack it doesn't get transported

    [WHO]Them, i got a suggestion to prevent ppl from exploiting it..
    i just got a word that a jp fighting a lerk exploited that plugin and killed the lerk
    he kept asking for hp every time he had low hp and by that made himself like a godmode..
    maybe change the way it gives the hp with some kind of delay?

    Thanks for the effort, but I'll skip this, I don't want to modify it, I want the teams to fight it out with what flayra has given us, with only bare modification, such as comm_ghost, since that really doesn't modify mechanics, but gives marines a clue as to whether or not their commander is paying attention, or off in the corner **obscenity**...

    did it ever occur to you that a plugin intended to modify the game might actually be used to help a team win ?

    what did you expect ? that they would have this neat stuff but still be required by law to lose ?

    i want it to help the marines, but not turn marines into killing machines that can't be killed because they exploit it..
    think about it, a commander will never be able to give medpacks to a marine with jp because he keeps flying...
    but with the plugin, he can and he can't die..

    i just use teh delay built into the plugin.
    toss this into your server.cfg
    phaseeq_delay 10

    they can only call health OR ammo every ten seconds. i did try 5 but that was way to short 10 is about right for my end.

    but i would like to see maybe even a cvar that will delay the mp/ammo spawn..
    lets see i request mp and move on, the mp will spawn where i requested it(if possible)
    this will help in preventing exploits

    You should have it that marines have to be on the ground (or someother surface) to have it teleported to you. It would help (not 100% fix, but pretty good) the exploit of JPers. Sure, they could just land and quickly tap their button, then go off flying again, but it would stop those ppl that can hover in place for awhile.
