I loved that game. My bro and all my friends were on too. We had about 5 different BBS' we'd log on to take our turns daily. I did play LORD some too, but just couldn't get into it. I also played RISK and all of the really bad porn games. After you took your turns what else was there to do? My friends and I were talking about this the other day, does anyone remember that (bad) sex game where you were in a mansion and had to screw as many people as possible, while not letting anyone else screw you? That was one classy game.
But anyway, if we're talking actual simultaneous multiplayer, that would be Rise of the Triad. Gotta love the floating disks/platforms everywhere.
I used to play a hacked version of the C&C expansion pack a lot over the phone... then Red Alert came out and we both played it like everyday after school (6th grade?).

My first gaming was playing on my friends ancient Atari 2600. There is no game greater than Combat (tank pong pwns j00lz). Wolf3d, C&C, and Warcraft also owned. However, I could never get any good games or comps of my own for some time (mom wanted us to be outside, dad was, and still is, mac-crazy), so the first online game I really played was Diablo. Damn, I spent a LOT of time clicking my mouse buttons. I still have my level 48 (legit) wizard, and all my saved items.
After dblows (my affectionate monicker for that legend of a game), I played lots of starcraft. I royally suck at most RTS mulitplayer - NS is only RTS that I can do well in online - so I stuck to the custom RPG maps. The dragonlance level was my favorite, as I played lots of D&D back in the day.
Then comes Half Life, probably the first game I actually purchased at a time even remotely close to its release date. I played TONS of TFC (despite the fact that I did, and still do, suck at it), as well as plenty of CS. My 56k modem and terribly small free time meant that I almost never had the newest version of CS, but I tried anyway.
Eventually, I got my priorities straight and got lots of great games and mods.
When my m8 told me he had a pretty good game i'd like, called, FIREARMS! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Laser Squad anyone? old turnbased stuff from microprose, sort of a prequel to X-com : Enemy unknown (maby not, but same dev team). Not really an online game but i think you were able to play it via e-mail, like e-mail chess. Never did though.

In windows 3.1 IPX protocol after much hacking and tweaking.
I could only get like 3 people on the game.

BBS counts as multiplayer experience?
List this then, I owned :o
Loved the tavern in the forest most :F
BTW, most of the games I played earlier were at pieceofsoaps's place.
