<div class="IPBDescription">First attempt at modeling</div> ok, one of the many map concepts i thought up needed powerloader-esque equipment, rather than begin bugging experenced modelers for their assistance, i tried it on my own. This, for one, is not finished, and two is a combination of both the Über-cool arms from ns_europa, and the walker from Gunamn Chronicles, the forgotten but utterly 1337 HL mod. (i read the EULA, and it stated as long as credit was given where credit is due, i can use theit models as a base, I asked the mapper of europa for premission, but i have yet to get a response) What do you think?

It's ok, I'm guessing this is based off the PowerLoader?

I don't like the feet is all. They look to organic. Like hooves. Make the feet more robotic looking. Other than that it looks nice. Oh and "I can take it"
GunMan Chronicles was a sweet game. It doesn't get enough popularity that it deserves frankly,so I agree on that. Man there was so many fire modes in that game. Each weapon had really cool alternate fire modes. Especially the mule. It also featured the largest HL engine monster ever created (the dinosaour).

to tell the truth, the largest was the the "Alpha Species", it was friggen huge! The creamy center of the current desigen is being replaced with a control chair thingie soon, this was my first "alpha" model, oh, by the way, it looks much better with a slin on it, here is the original skins applied....

uhh i could make a note to that bipedial forklift.. the forks of the thing dont have the movable, clamping look, like in alien 2 when ripley took to the chair , when she manuevred the forks, you could see the forks were like clamps like that wrench which you twist the notch and it closes and opens,... well you know what i mean?... nothing is a forklift if it cant grab and pick up, i mean the forks on yours could pick up, but there is no sign it could grab anything.. shouldnt make it look like it can?

just a tip. ignore at will

I understand, but the forks are, in fact, the ones from ns_europa. I asked if i could use them for the model, no reply yet, also this is only my first version, next wersiin will be considerably better

actually the hands CAN clamp... if you look at them they have tracks on them meaning the two long "fingers" as it were can move towards each other, to pick up different sized objects. It isn't like a robotic hand, but it does serve its original purpose

What gives the wrong illusion is that the flat faces on the top of the fingers isn't actually skinned. It's a stretched line of pixels all across. Skinning that properly would probably help.

For your first model, it's a very nice hack. You got some good pieces together, there. Remember the balance, though. Be sure to position it so its center of gravity isn't anywhere but above its feet, or it'll tip.
