Carapace Vs Marine Armor

Carapace costs 42 res to be at level 3. This makes a skulk die about half as fast, or 17 lmg bullets instead of 17 (correct me if I'm wrong). For the marines, level 3 armor makes them die about half as fast, or 4 skulk bites instead of 2 (again, correct me if I'm wrong). But for the marines to get up to level 3, it costs them 50 + 20 + 40 + 60, 170 res. Now I know that marines aren't reskinned aliens, but I think this needs to be looked at in 1.1.

    Ok, now add the 13 for gorge and 2+ resource after every death, and then tell me how unbalanced it is.

    Spawning marines automatically start with whatever armor upgrades have been researched, while spawning aliens must re-upgrade every time they die. Take the average number of deaths on an alien team, and multiply it by two, adding it to the 55. Is it still less than the marines?
