Linux Dedicated Server "died"!

Umm....my server keeps dying!
Alright, I have a dedicated server going on a linux box, and it runs TFC and CS without any troubles, but whenever we try to start it up in NS mode, with the latest patch (v1.03), the latest hlds_l and all, it tells me the server died within seconds after starting the executable, and I never see any external sign of the server starting up either. Meaning I'm not even sure if it's getting as far as broadcasting its presence to the master server or not.

Anyway, I'd just like a little help on making this work, cuz...it kinda sux to have my server empty, and not doing anything.

All I get is server died in the screen and it drops me back to my shell.

Any ideas anyone?

Did you specify the map at the end, like this?

    ./hlds_run -game ns +maxplayers 16 +map ns_nancy &

If you don't do that, it'll crash every time.

Well, honestly I don't run it, the guy who I rent from is, but I'm guessing that's problem his problem, since NS doesn't seem to default to the first map in the rotation file...I emailed him, hopefully that'll fix it up, but any other suggestions are welcome in the interim just in case guys.

    Thanks for your help.
