Diferences Between Ns 1.0 And Ns For Dedicated Svr

Okay, it is possible to run a dedicated server of NS with the 1.0 for clients, but, does it changes too much things? (or anything?)
and... about the 1.03 patch for Dedicated Servers? Can I apply it to the client version and run a dedicated server with it?
We are with some problems, and we are unableto download files in other way than using a modem.
I would like to install NS, here, In my work ( a LAN house ) - but I´m afraid that the "Client File" doesn´t support the 1.03 patch.

just slap that patch over your client install and it will work fine.

I got a strange problem here
I installed the File, upgraded to 1.03, and, when I run the server looks fine..
When I try to join the game, the server freezes, trying to authenticate with WON... :/

the commandline is something like that ( I tryed to run the server at my work, not at my house)
hlds.exe -game ns -ip 192.168.0.15 -port 27016 +map ns_bast -nomaster -insecure +maxplayers 24

I have upgraded NS to 1.04 and the same problem appears...
There is no problem trying to run DoD or CS in a Dedicated Server... but NS halts when this message appears...
