Looks good except that the light spots are way too blocky.

Ya the lights are very blocky. Also some of the walls could use a little bit more detail IMO. Aside from that it looks real nice, I like the somewhat darkish feel with the blue glow from the computers

I think the computer system over there looks wonderful. It gives off some great atmosphere.

Though, I do think that the floor is too dark. Remember, the commander is going to be dropping equipment for the marines around here, so you'd want to make sure that they can actually find the stuff.

Extensive use of light_spot's (I like your implementation of them here) makes it possible to light up a specific surface (like the floor) without washing out the rest of the room's ambience.

I think it looks great except for the ceiling ... you could use a little more architecture there, maybe just some supports across the ceiling. The computer wall looks great.

I agree the floor is rather dark.

The ceiling looks rather flat. I suggest adding some beams to make it harder going for the skulks.

I had trouble figuring out where the light above the res node came from. make that light volumetric (and stick some smoke around to make it make sense)

The light-spots are pretty neat, especially on the right side of that pic, but I agree with ChromeAngel that breaking up the monotony of the ceiling and floor would do a world of good for the ambience of the room. It's a pretty nice start, though.

ABSOLUTLY GREAT, keep up the good work. My idea is to have some people beta test it, to see how it plays. I can tell that that isn't your first map. Maybe you could have it finished, and but it on a client side patch.

HINT : Use good names for you hives.

Example VIADUCT = a bridge supported by archs.

The pic looks like a Shulk's dream. Kinda dark and it's ambushy, but that's ok when I'm Alien!

So couldnt continue mapping :'(
Well back now and trying to sort out the lighting in there and make it more complex a bit so skulks will have a bit 'o' trouble to cause havoc at the start.
That blue glow has a kinda...atractive feel to it....makes its kinda sexy and very alluring.
Suppose thats why most peeps like the colour of it, especially on ns maps it gives it the cold technological feel to it that everyone seems to like so much.

I started to work on the layout of the map today and will be finished and posted swn.

As for the hive names uummm how about hive 1 Power Distribution Hive, hive 2 Pump Facility Hive and uumm well jeez guys gimme a hand
Once the layout and the backstory to the map is made i suppose the hive names will be easyier to make up.
