Help Plz With Installing

hi , i was introduced to this game from a diff game forum just a lil while ago. i downloaded the game (i think) at one of the links u guys set up for downloading. when it was finished i started to install picked me internet conection blah blah blah, and than it came up with this - You must be running at least version 1.1.1.0 of half-life or 1.3 of counterstrike in order to install the NSPT, Please upgrade. PLZ HELP ME!
