Unable To Move Ingame

<div class="IPBDescription">and feeling very foolish :P</div> ok, just downloaded NS and installed it, I can get into the game fine and decided to create a lan game against some bots (found the bots with a search on these forums) the game created fine but for some reason after i hit f4 to choose a team as instructed I cannot move and make a sound as if I am climbing a ladder. I have checked and have no scripts active and my controls are fine (aka I am using the right move keys <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ) I have been playing HL mods for going on 2 years now and this is the first time anything like this has happened so I am thoroughly confused... thanks for any help i get in advance <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

just realised something that may possibly be related... on the map list it fails to recognise any map with the ns_ naming convention.... and halflife maps are listed as well

if you're on lan you can try this:

The problem with the maps sounds like one I had when I used the shortcut created by the NS installer. Try starting regular halflife, and then changing to NS from the custom game menu. Not sure what's wrong with the shortcut though, since I deleted it and made a new one.
