Right now, "12 Stones - Broken". The album is fantastic if you're into typical hard rock (a little like Creed, Incubus, etc).
I have a tendancy to latch onto a certain band, play the bejeesus out of their album(s), then move on when the next band catches my attention. Currently, that band is 12 Stones.
Previously, it was Seether, Crazy Town (<i>their new album is actually pretty good</i>), Timber (<i>local band... awesome live shows!!</i>), John Mayer, Treble Charger, Avril Lavigne, Theory of a Deadman, etc....
I got fn lucky and got to see em in concert in clevland last term <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Just downloaded a couple of those Mindless Self Indulgence songs. They were. . unique. That guy's voice kind of scares me. But it wasn't unpleasant <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm sorry, but compared to other brit. bands of the time (namely, the Stones, although they suck now, and the Who, who pwn j00) The Beatles are to much of a pop band. Nearly all of their early work is mindless love songs and "hey look at us" songs, and their later work is to pompous and self serving to be good. They only have one good album according to me, Revolver.
Hot Water Music - 'Remedy' ... wait no, it's 'Trusty Chords' now <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
The Beatles were a great band. There's a simple difference between their pop songs and those of other bands: The Beatles were pretty much the first.

What the Beatles are remembered for is their influence on the world of music. And even if you say "Well I don't like pop, so the Beatles can shove it, heavy metal forever!", did you know that Ozzy Osbourne, the singer of Black Sabbath (pretty much the first metal band) is a huge Beatles fan, and was inspired to form a music group by the Beatles? Kinda puts the whole thing in perspective. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

When all the other, harder, bands from Britain were getting big, the Beatles were still writing love songs. I have never seen them as anything more than glorified, earlier, instument-playing(although Ringo can hardly be described as a mucisian, after I started drumming, that's when they really started getting on my nerves, god Ringo sucks) versions of the Monkees.
