Half-life Cd Key Issues

<div class="IPBDescription">Cant get online</div>I have a friends copy of Half-Life from a few years back (old enough to have an ad for Kings Quest Mask of Eternity on the back of the jewel case!) but hes lost everything except the manual and the CD case for the game.

But hes also lost the cover of the CD case containing the CD key for Half-Life on it!

I downloaded a CD Key generator that works fine for single-player but, I can't get online with it! Whenever I try, I get a message talking about "Your half-life CD key is invalid".


I already contacted Sierra for help but they just regurgitated what they already had on the webpage about CD keys, which is not helpful for my scenario.

Does anyone have any help or advice?

This may not be exactly what you are looking for, but go to www.ebgames.com and look at their rebate section. They have a $20 rebate on CS retail, which I think is about the same price as the game. With CS retail you can play all the HL mods.

Yup. For all practical purposes the CD key *is* the game. If you lost it, you lost your copy of Half-Life. Time to buy another one.

Does your friend still have it installed? If so, you can extract the key number from his registry. (I'm guessing not, though.)

iv got a list of 7 CD codes that all work and no-one uses , btw all these are mine and i bought them all , u can get the CD code from the registery whitch is handy , but if not ask a m8 that doesnt play on-line for there CD key.

if u want a new CD code u have to send ur manule to serria and tell them ur problem.
