<div class="IPBDescription">:'-( *sniff*</div> Well, previously what I had here was my frustration in not being able to stream the largest resolution of the movie, but they uploaded it (finally)
I'm really hyped for the game/next animatrix shorts/next movies. But I'm wondering if the Wachowski [sp?] brothers are digging the same hole for themselves that George Lucas did. I'm pretty sure that even though Lucas had the trilogy in mind, he probably didn't intend on ever telling more of the story back when he made the first 3 movies in the 70's and 80's. Since then, dozens of writers have made officially sponsored Star Wars novels, comics, etc. for the "expanded universe;" these additions have content that often conflicts with the prequels, any possibility of sequels, or even with each other.
I just hope these things like the game and the animatrix have enough direct involvement from the brothers who came up with it. I don't want to be let down the same way Star Wars let us down.

If you guys don't want the video streamed, here's a direct link:
<a href='http://progressive.stream.aol.com/wb/gl/wbonline/progressive/thematrix/us/med/animatrixlgfinal_dl.mov' target='_blank'>http://progressive.stream.aol.com/wb/gl/wb...xlgfinal_dl.mov</a>
If the filename is animatrix<b>lg</b>final_dl.mov", it's the large 640x272 resolution. if the bold part is instead "sm" or "med", you can guess that it's "small" and "medium", respectively. Unlike the original trailer for the main Matrix sequels, no 1024x??? "ultimate" resolution has been (officially) posted yet.
People with slower connections should note that although the largest resolution is by far the best, that 9 minutes of 640x272 resolution matrix-y goodness comes in a sizeable ~140-150MB .mov file. Because of the movie's length, that's over 2 times as large a file as the Ultimate resolution official film trailer previously mentioned.
[edit]
arg, the download keeps dying every 5 MB or so :X
[/edit]
after about 50 retries it got to 50% and then promptly stopped resuming. >:(
During the transfer, it got to 141mb... then 145mb... and finally 160mb before I realized I was getting more data than I really should have been.
I'm downloading it again (<i>4th time trying</i>) in 1 segment instead of 4 simultaneously. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
