<div class="IPBDescription">which is better go get and in what order</div> When I first went as a commander I first instructed my troops to an empty hive and secured it. Then I immediately sent them to the other hive and secured that. Fortunately it worked.
My question is if this is the end-all-do-all order, or are there variations and is it map dependent?
I suppose you could get resources first, but there are resources at the hives, so what's the difference if you get hive+resource or just a resource node?

And by "securing res nodes" i don't mean with a TF :)
However, it is no fun. I know, I've been on the recieving end of this tactic multiple times...

Well it is not always a good tactic to defend every res node you take. Check this topic which i putted in Frontiersmen Strategy forum.

That was kind of my point....
The best defense is a good offence, and if you're constantly giving their gorge and hive grief its going to be alot harder for them to deal with the 1 spare marine running round the map capping nodes. But a few mines never hurt anyone (well actually.... yea you get the idea)
